Blisters

I've been crochetting so much I've worked up a blister!! Haha ..... I am getting ready to do a craft fair this fall so am trying to get at least three items finished a week. I am working on hats, scarves and wrap/scarves right now and when i am sick of those I'll move on to some cute critters! I haven't been able to take and photos as our camera is on the fritz, but soon I'll post some photos, even if it is just some work in progress shots! I ordered some business cards finally for my shop! They are mini cards from moo.com and feature different photos of my past creations. I am so excited to have real business cards! I've seen people that I want to talk to and give out a card, but I just feel so unprofesional having homemade cards! An believe me, my homemade cards are pretty bad! Anyways that's all that is going on right now. Oh my sister and I have officially quite her dress. It is a HUGE pain in the butt, so I think my sis is going to as my mom to finish it! Mom to the rescue again! My sewing machine is now collecting dust and I crochet my little heart out!

Here is my barn and animal set that I finished for a swap! The barn is actually a bag to hold all the animals. It's my design, but not my idea. The woman who I was making it for picked it from another etsy shop. The cow actually turned out okay! However the goat is another story ...... i thought he looked pretty good until my husband asked if it was a rat!!! Do you think it looks like a rat?

i am working on a crochet barn set for a swap and i've finished everything except the stupid cow. it's head is too small and i hate it...... sigh, i think it's time for bed, or maybe a martini...... i wish!

Baby Blanket Finished!

Here are the photos of the baby blanket I finished for my cousin! We found out she had a girl, so I think the blanket fits nicely! The little jellyfish were a lot of work, but well worth it I think!

Well I have finished a few projects though the cord for my camera has dissapeared so I'm share the photos later! I've finished the cute crochet dress for my neighbor's girl ,and prety well finished the baby blanket for my cousin! yay!! Also I came up with a great design for new neckwarmers for the fall/winter!

I have a full summer of crochet lined up for myself! I decided to give sewing a rest and make some baby blankets and a toddler dress! I'm more than half way done the dress and just have to complete the border on the first baby blanket! After that I am going to try my hand at designing some fall/winter hats! We'll see how that goes!

Never Ending

I am so used to the instant gratification that is amigurumi! Right now I am working on a crochet baby blanket for some one and it feels as though it taking FOREVER! I know the last one i did (swirl baby blanket) took forever because it was in tons of pieces, but this one that is worked all in one piece, doesn't seem to be growing at a fast enough pace! I guess i will just have to have patience ..... or stay up til midnight finishing it! I'm doubting the later will happen as I've been up since 5am with my son! i'll post photos of the blanket once i've got more done ......... oh and for some reason my "ongoing project" list is GONE!!! I'll have to figure that one out when I return home!

Wrapping It Up

I have finished a number of projects ..... one of which I can't post here as the person who it's for lurks around here! I will soon be posting photos of my progress on Jack's quilt, the 50's B Movie Swap stuff and a cute dress I made for a hair show last night. Maybe I'll even post some hair photos! Right now i am up island so can't really download anything! Soon though, I promise! I am trying to wrap up a number of craft related projects I have on the go, so I can concentrate on my art career a bit more. It's time to take that more seriously I think!

The BIG Project

Our garden seems to be our biggest project ever! It will be going on for some time i think! If we had a truck there would be a lot more done! Tomorrow is Jack's Birthday BBQ and lots of people will be seeing our yard, so we worked very hard today and got a lot done! Here are some photos!

Lots of New Things Going On!

I'm so busy I don't have time to even take photos! I am working on a baner for my son's 2nd birthday and have now finished the skimboard bag (photos soon!). The family and I went camping this past weekend for father's day so didn't get any crafting done of course! After i finish the banner I am going to do a quick set of drapes for a friend, then finish up some swaps! I have great ideas for my GHI ATCs! Can't wait to get going on those! Alright gotta clean and get the house in order!

Is this badass or what?!

I have been so busy with life and Jack that I haven't been doing ANY crafting! It's been so strange, but fairly relaxing. I have three swaps on the go and haven't started a single thing for them! I also have a slew of birthdays coming up, including Jack's, and haven't started any presents! Yesterday I stated a skimboard bag for my husband. It was supposed to be for father's day, however I doubt I'll get it done in time. Here is the outer part of the bag. It still needs a pocket and some straps. I have sewn the vinyl lining so that will be the last thing to put in. Alright I'm off to my knitting group to start another present!!

More Shrink Stuff

Ok I scraped together a bit of remenant shrink plastic to make myself a necklace for tonight! And here it is! I can't really sell it as it's a Sailor Jerry girl, but I am thinking of making some zombie pin up necklaces! I can't wait! I just got the printable shrink stuff so maybye i'll make LOTS!

Scrumble Scrumble

So I have completed my first "scrumbled" piece of art work for the gallery! It's 14" by 12". It's made from recycled shirts, scarves and yarn. I think it turned out really well! I can't wait to see if the curator likes it! The piece is called "Icarus" after the greek legend of icarus flying too close to the sun and having his wings melt off.
